How I feed my dogs BARF

I have asked some of my friends breeders of other breeds and I have got also two amazing books about BARF feeding (those are unfortunately written only in Czech). I am sure you are able to find information about it in your own language on internet or in books.

 So what do I feed now to my own dogs? I buy meat in local butchers and in the company, which is specialized in selling meat for animals (healthy meat). I change types of meat and offals according to what I have at my freezer. My dogs are eating everything. I add to meat fresh vegetables, about 1/3 of amount of food portion. Vegetables need to be cutted in small peaces or grated. It is again depending what is growing on that time of the year in my garden or what is available around in the shops. Raw bones are very important part of BARF feeding. It needs to be about 1/3 of daily portion. Me personaly do not give bones every day, I give it about 3 times a week. I was surprised how my old veteran Karla is eating bones. Bones need to be fed with some meat, to start the digestion.

I feed my dogs twice a day. Once a week dogs do not get meat, but white joghurt with fruits and some melted nuts. Also depending what we have at home.

 From time to time I also bake liver cake. I use dry food only seldom, usualy when someone is watching my dogs. It is more comfotable for them. I also use dry food in training of Simba. Owners who feed their dogs with dry food are jealous, that Simba is extremely happy to get dry food as treats! Their dog will never take it as reward!

The condition of my dogs is the evidence of good influence on my dogs health. Development of my little puppy to nice, strong lady Simba also. I have to invest more of my time to make food for my dogs, but it is worth it.
